    ^ what he said.

oh, and just rode turnbull today. looks like someone took a weed whacker to a-line and parts of cow trail, so there is a lot less thistle then there used to be. escalator was cleaned up by someone a week or so back, as well.

have a great ride out there!

I'm a big fan of the fireroad > 7th > A-line and maybe throw Rattlesnake and the climb back up the fireroad again in there.

^ That's the route I took today minus the climb back up. A-line is a lot nicer now that it's trimmed back. Thanks to whomever tackled that. 7th street is in fine shape as well. The thing that I like about the trail from cowtrail to the college is that I hardly if ever see any foot traffic. A-line almost always has traffic on it. I was thinking that would be a better, more flowier way to go especially with the number of riders in the group. :-k I did say I've never set up one of these right?

You have a really good point. The random, often oblivious, earphone wearing hikers and climbers on A-line kill the flow when it's just one person, but with 15-20+ it would be pretty bad. I think that your path might be a better choice and I may be up for another climb up the fireroad to hit a-line if others wanted to after we finished.

Exactly! Yesterday I was going up the fireroad and I had a jogger in front with his headphones on cut all the way from the right to the left side of the trail right as I was passing him. I was ringing my bell and saying "on your left" but he didn't hear anything. I tell ya, they're more dangerous than the trail sometimes.

If ever we hit cow trail to Whittier College, don't we have to climb back up to the trailhead or Beverly Ave via the roads like Painter Ave?
