Yeah, there is a lot of climbing but I suck so she probably won't be the slowest person there. Bonelli is pretty close by and newb friendly. I wouldn't mind riding there.

yes i've been busy washing my hair. :) i'll try to set something up. most likely bonelli, but i'll have to do a scouting ride first. last time i did a scouting ride there the water level was too high and flooded a good portion of the trail.

You missed it this morning. Had a good ride at Fully. And as previously stated, put one on the calendar and a post, and they will come.

As much as I love Turnbull, I wouldn't recommend it for a noob or beginner ride. The climb from the start of the trailhead up to the water tower is physically demanding for a noob. I still remember when I first started climbing up there. I was so winded and I was pushing my bike up 1/2-3/4ths of the way.

The Fully Loop ride on Sundays is one of the best rides for a noob/beginner with a casual pace, lots of rest periods and areas, not overtly technical and a great way to meet new people.

I feel exactly the same. Turnbull is nice for a social ride but not sure if it is good for a newbie/beginner ride. I did Turnbull when I first started riding and I could barely get to the water tank and ended up pushing my bike most of the way back up from 7th.

Did the Loop today with the group - very newbie friendly pace. Nobody got left behind! :)

i think turnbull would be a good place for a noob ride. if they (los noobs) are feeling too winded from the fireroad climb, they can turn around, its all downhill fire road back to the cars. just take a few breaks along the turns on the fire road to let people catch their breaths. afterall, it is mt biking, and it isn't meant to be a cakewalk. just do a short loop, once you get up to the top of the fireroad, it is pretty mellow. head over to the rattlesnake s/t downhill, and that other one that parralels the road maybe?

Rattlesnake is so awesome right now. The tall grass makes it feel like you're flying through a tunnel.

Turnbull sounds good i seem to be the weakest rider of the bunch.4 or 5 regroups a bit of HAB with Tony sheperting the pack no problem.
