Myself and a few buddies are going to Tapia Canyon this saturday morning and meeting there around 8 and leaving around 8:30. Weather shouldn't be too bad.

We are going to go slow as we are all very out of shape and at least two of them have not ridden in a long time.

So without further delay and a copy/paste from JeffJ's trailhead threads.. here it is.

When: Saturday April 25, 2009, Meet at 8:00am - Riding by 8:30am. Meet at the Castaic Sports Complex.

Directions: Exit at Parker Rd. off of I-5 north in Castaic. Turn right from offramp and right again at first stop sign. This goes back along the freeway about 1/3 mile to Castaic Sports Complex. We'll meet in the parking lot closest to the street right next to the entrance in front of the gymnasium.

Just to give you a rough idea of drive time: This is about 25-30 minutes from West LA, 30-35 minutes from Pasadena, 45 minutes from Ventura and about one hour from Orange County (Disneyland).

What/Where: Ride Tapia Canyon in Castaic. About 15+ miles all together if we do both (Chicken Run & Burn Victim) versions of the singletrack descent as planned.

Who: Everyone is welcome. Just be sure we know you're coming so we know to wait for you.

Thanks for looking.

Jake

I will join you guys most probably. This will be my 2nd long ride so I hope you guys won't might taking a couple rest brakes.

My GPS in the past has informed me that the time spent idle>time spent moving...

if that tells you anything.

Consider me to be the official "That Guy" of the ride. I'll be going slower than the dirt we'll be riding on.

Also, welcome back BAD_S197, we were wondering where you disappeared to.

See you all Saturday, and remember there's a prize to be won...

Yea I lost my job in august, rode a couple times after that.. then moved to Pasadena and got a new job downtown. Also blame a lack of motivation on my part and complete and utter lazyness(sp?).

The bike has called me to ride it... and I'm listening.

hey mike this "prize" you speak off........it wouldn't happen to be soaking in a jar of formaldehyde :-k would it?

Fortunately for me, no. However, that was a good one, just don't push it too far, otherwise I'll get a little testy...

Oh my, that's didn't come out right at all...

He bought a Sledgehammer from this guy
