SsssNAKE SeasoN ......,(merged threads)

Chesebro ridge trail in Agoura Hills today, saw this little guy just hanging out in the shade. Can't blame him, it was 92F by 9:30am.

Closer shot, great pattern on it (western rattler I believe) only about 18" at most.

When you start getting off your bike and CHASEING rattlesnakes for the pic, there's a certin lady in OC you should ride with, LOL!!!

Well, it's officially that time of year again... I spotted a 3-4 footer at sycamore canyon. He was laying right across the trail not 30 ft from the beware of rattlesnakes sign in little Moab. I'll post a pic ASAP.

We were pre-riding Sycamore Canyon on Sunday for the High School Moutain Bike Race there this Sunday and one of the girls saw a big rattler that coiled at her and scared the $hit out of her. She's NOT a noob either. Must have been a pretty good sized one.

We saw a whopper at Encinal Canyon yesterday! He was long. And really well fed.

I'm pretty sure I heard one in the bushes off to the side of the trail just a few miles before seeing this one while we were heading back down. But I blew it off, assuming it was way too early in the season for rattlesnakes. Apparently the snakes never got the message. 8-[

Ohh boy!!...love spotting snakes. Oaks is loaded w rattlers and I was even lucky enough to see a Cal King.

they're alive and well on the Tijeras Creek trail too. Had to bunny hop a small one on the single track by Canada Vista yesterday.

Almost ran this little guy over as he was right in the middle of the trail. Baby gopher snake roughly 6 months to a year old. Took a few more pics and let him go into the brush, out of harm's way.
