Maybe I need to start looking down and look for tracks, or even up to look for a lion. I was just at whiting yesterday around noon! If this thing is still in the park something should be done to relocate it out of the park. It is getting kind of freaky with all of these sightings in the place i go through 4 times a week

Yeah I'm thinking my hand might've been a bit more jittery filming that.. or if I would've had the balls to keep filming.. great this guy pulled that off.. that video needs to get picked up and aired across all the media outlets.. it's pretty sweet, especially with that coyote calling out like that.. I'm still in awe as I watched it a couple more times.. priceless footage!

Bad ass looking cat! We just rode through Whiting this morning 7/16. There are still signs posted at every entry that there was a mountlion sighting LAST WEEK (7/9 I think). Nothing about this new sighting. Probably would have thought twice about riding there today had I seen this video from yesterday.

Holy crap. Looks to me like the coyote is trying to get the lion's attention, like how birds will protect the nest by offering themselves as bait. The filmers look way to close for comfort in my book.

    That's amazing.
What an incredible stroke of luck to be able to witness such an event.

That's about as close as I want to get to either one of those hombres.

Coyotes are pretty bold around the Back Bay. We saw one trotting up the middle of Santiago Drive in Westcliff one morning. People out walking their dogs were dumbstruck how nonchalant it was.

Couple of weeks ago a neighbor's cat was found in front of the elementary school with it's midsection missing. I've seen reports of coyotes walking down Broadway in the middle of the day. East side Costa Mesa is heavily populated but that never seems to bother 'yotays.

HA!!!!! That was a ef'n good episode of the Chappelle Show!

People built in their (wild anamials) back yard, sometimes the owners have to go check things out.

I've had several run-ins with coyotes in my life, on and off the bike around OC. I am always surprised at how used to us they are. I hope the pumas don't adopt the same attitude.

WOW! I'm pretty envious of all the people who have had first hand sightings.

I'd love to see one as well, ride home, tell my friends, and read about it being tranquilized and relocated to Miami.
