Steve-that's so nice of you to offer to take a cactus on car wreck on my behalf!! I prob'ly won't be that birder, there are better trails for birding than Car Wreck! Just behind the maintenance trailer at AW there is a Nature Trail that goes down to the creek and then up to the other side of the canyon, great for birds and few people know about it. I stumbled upon it on one of my knee recovery/birding hikes.

Glad to hear your wife is through the worst parts of her treatment! And she is on the road to a complete recovery? That is awesome!

And you're celebrating 24 years together??!! Amazing! Love to hear about couples who celebrate 20+ years of marriage, its just so rare anywhere!

Fall riding will be here soon, as we get into some cooler weather! It'll be time to ride SART, Noble, Kernville...the knee is healed up just in time, so I'll be posting a group ride soon! Hope you'll be able to join in the fun!!

Hi Genny, so glad to hear you've healed up well. Recovering can be soooo arduous and unpleasant.
I remember when Maxwell and I saw you weeks ago at Aliso and noticed you carrying a bird i.d book that I suddenly remembered dstepper saying some rider will have to take the cactus on car wreck when it opens for some birder going up it while mtb'ers are coming down. My response,"NOT", I've grimmaced about that since seeing you. Maybe, just maybe, I would take cactus for you : ).

Anyways, Pat's chemo and surgery and radiation are complete. It's been a hellish year for us but she has persevered and IS victorious!!!! Thankyou GOD. Nov. will be our 24th year of marriage, pretty good for O.C standards?lol.
