So, after converting the El Mariachi to a SS several weeks ago I hadn't gotten a chance to ride it until yesterday. The B* ride got rained out and then I went on vacation. Anyhow, I took the maiden voyage at LCWP. I stayed up on the ridge and rode Bommer out until the end and back, returning on Missing Link and Fenceline. It was a good workout. I had only ridden once in the last month. There were only two climbs I didn't clean, the short steep section right before T&A and on the return right before Water Tank.
It wasn't a dramatic difference from the 1x9, then again I didn't do any big climbs. Maybe it is something about the drivetrain efficiency. I will say this, it does give the upper arms/shoulders a workout. Saturday was a beautiful day to ride.
On a side note, my EBB is squeaking all to hell. I am going to have to see what is up with that.
