Jim - The wife and I rode Live Oak today and ran into ranger "George" doing trail maintenance. I guess my question is - Does anyone from STR coordinate with the Live Oak rangers to help out with trail maintenance? Ranger George didn't seem to be aware that help might be available. I know you are involved with Whiting and STT, etc., do you work in Live Oak also? - Thanks, Joe

Jim - re: the STT trailwork you mentioned for 10/23, I will be in Kernville that weekend for a friends birthday. Obviously don't feel obligated to change dates on my account. I'll be happy to help get something posted up here or help in any other way I can.

Thanks for your concern. I wasn't the least bit offended. Mostly I am frustrated because I keep asking intelligent questions and am met with nonsense and non-answers.

These people bitch and bitch and bitch, and when someone comes and says, "Okay, tell me how you want me to do it," you'd think they would be thrilled that someone is paying attention. But they are not. Instead they don't give a reasonable and/or cogent answer, and continue bitching. It's kind of pathetic, actually.

Thank you for your answer. Someone PMd me and offered to answer any questions I might have in the future so I don't have to deal with the nonsense. Sad it has to be that way, because in my mind, maybe there are others with the same questions out there that could learn from what I am asking and the answers that follow.
