i'm currently running a pike 426 dual air u-turn on my trance. i really like the way the fork works, but man this thing is really heavy. is there another fork that is comparable to the pike? should i even consider swapping for another fork? i'm a laid back rider and don't do any hucking.

I'm sure you can get some forks that are lighter, but you may not find a more supple fork. Those are great forks.

that's not the answer i was looking for ;). i love the feel of the pike, but wished it was a little lighter.

btw i need to consult with you soon about building some wheels.

When I had my trance, god rest its sole, I went from a Fox float r to a Rockshox Revelation RLTi dual position air. (130/150) That thing is amazing. 130 for uphills, 150 for downhills. Also, it has your lockout and it's really light.

Dell, I originally wanted the 454, but couldn't find one with a decent steerer tube length.

Sean, I'm gonna stick with the pike for bit. I'll let you know if I do decide to get rid of it.

Ok, love the pike, but the weight plus me tired almost caused me to wreck yesterday so it's gonna have to go. Looks like I'm gonna have to find a revelation for a decent price. I'll send you a pm soon sean if you're still interested

FYI: Don't wait too long for a Dual Air Revalation if that's an important feature to you, rather than Solo Air. Going forward, the SID, REBA, and Revalation will all be Solo Air.
