Currently reading "Michelangelo and the Pope's Ceiling". Yep, it is about how Michelangelo was chosen to paint the Sistine Chapel. Very interesting read!

If you enjoy fantasy but are tired of the same formulaic junk, make sure you have read Johnathon Strange & Mr. Norrell. I know it's been out a while but it still is refreshingly different (Time's book of the year, etc).

I just started the border trilogy by McCarthy.
BTW, does anyone else use their local public library? I feel like I'm the only one over 16 who ever goes and checks books out at the library. I hate buying books. There are very few authors whose books I will purchase.

Just finished the 5th in the Odd Thomas series. This one was a little different in that it is laid out like a graphic novel but the story was good. Short and sweet w/pictures.
btw, for those that like the library I just came across a new site www.worldcat.org. it lets you search all libraries to see which one may have the title you want in your area.

From Cape Town with Love by Blaire Underwood (LA Law, Just Cause, etc). It is co-written by Tananarive Due and Stephen Barnes. This the the third in the series of Tennyson Hardwick novels and just like the first two, it is good! A page turner from Chapter 1. I would be remiss if I didn't also recommend anything by Ms. Due. She is one of a handful of Black science fiction writers (S. Barnes, husband, is another). Start with either Joplin's Ghost or The Living Blood.
