Anymore BMX Family Nights coming up?

Hi folks,

Wanted to know if there were going to be any more BMX family nights in the near future. I spoke with The Mayor at the last event in Bellflower and he mentioned that there was a possibility of having another event before the summer ends.

Any info?

Okay putting in my request to dates (not during my vacation, WE's 8/12-16 and 8/27-9/2 PLEEEASSSE) - heck yeah, kid wouldn't miss it.

Yes, but with the STR group ride, I believe the track waived the membership to the ABA stipulation.
Anyone going to any ABA track can usually ride there once without a membership, but if you decide you'd like to do it more, a membership to the ABA is required.
Even after joining the ABA, there are many people who don't really race, but just ride practice(s) at the track.

That was kinda the point. I as kinda trying to point out any night is a good night for a family to ride the track.

I take my boys to Whittier Narrows a couple of times a month, so you can definitely family night...

HOWEVER alot of folks are there to seriously practice for racing. Everyone is really cool, but I definitely feel more inhibited.

The last STR BMX night had the best possible vibe. Folks were just there to ride and have a great time. People made way for the little ones.. and given that all folks there had a common thread, it seemed easier to approach, meet and talk to new people.

+3 on STR BMX night. I'd certainly lend a hand in making it happen!

Not even close to being the same as a regular night. Hardly any people there, and you knew most of them. I wouldn't have gone to a regular track to give it a go, especially with my normal 26" AM HT with big knobby wheels.

I learned a lot on the one night we went...how inadequate I am at pumping and sprinting. Next time I will be focusing on pumping and turning.

Very fun family atmosphere.

I'm so there for another one in August! First week or two in September is a maybe, and after that...not a chance for a while, I think.
