I could part with my lightly used orange mallet M's for say $50.00 (shipped) with a new set of cleats and many extra sets of end plates. Oh yeah, they weigh in at 468 grams that's only 28 grams more than the mallet 3's which go for $180.00

Ricky i have some, you will need new cleats but they were just rebuilt by crankbros. i will sell you cheap but you will have to wait until next weekend to get them.

I bought mine from REI.com 2 months ago on closeout for $55 w/ in store pick up. I am already over them & should have bought the Shimano m647 SPD pedals for $75 in the first place. I would try to steer you towards pedals w/ adjustable tension clips. Good luck.
