Who besides me has used STR as an organization they belong to, on an application?/

Most applications have a portion to list , what organizations an applicant belongs to.

I would never list anything. Odds are you'll find someone against something you are for. Unless you know for sure the person interviewing you is into something, just keep it quiet. Never know, you might say Angels fan and teh dude interviewing you is a diehard Yankees fan. Or, list STR and run into a way out there Sierra Clubber.
