We did these rides on Saturday as part of Dirty D's birthday weekend. The flow on these is unbelievable. The dirt is perfect right now. Just a bit of snow at the start. I'll let the pictures do the talking.

Kernville is Lake Isabella, up Kern Canyon/River east of Bakersfield. For the most part trail maps do not exist this is a remote area that few ride and without local knowledge is a tough area to ride. Jeff and the Kernville crew has worked for years opening abandoned trails near the lake. Many of those trails are shared with the motos so they tend to get dusty and loose as the summer goes on. Kern Canyon gets very hot in the summer. What we do is just move further/higher into the mountains and ride trails like Cannell Plunge, Just Outstanding, Camp Nelson and Freeman Creek. The area is much fun to ride a I try to ride up there as often as possible. I am normally up there 3-4 times a year.
