I would like to ride as much as possible of the SART tomorrow. In concept I was thinking of riding from the Seven Oaks Road/River Road/I-45 Service Road area where it intersects the 38 and head down to the Angeles Oaks. From Angeles Oaks up toward the Thomas Hunting Grounds then Down the single track as much as possible to the fire road near the base of Morton Peak. Go up the fire road below Morton Peak to the SART entrance on the left and head down into Mentone. We will be getting dropped off at the top and riding to my home in Highland.

I have been looking for some maps that show the first portion of the ride and I have seen a few variations. Can anyone share the best trails to use for this? I am looking to stay off of fire roads as much as possible. I am not very familiar with the area obviously.

I have ridden the from Angeles Oaks to Thomas Hunting Grounds but I am not sure I will be able to identify the entry to the single track areas as it has been a long time since I was up there. Can anyone help with this? Are there maps or landmarks?

Anyone have a better suggestion?

Awesome. That yellow line is the first part of what I want to do.

Any help with the second portion is also greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Paging Russell or Margaret - they can tell you everywhere to go on SART.

Rode the top half last week. Trail is in great shape - bugs are a bit brutal if you're rolling slow enough for them to hang...

Perfect timing for this thread. I'm planning to ride there tomorrow for the first time too. I wish I was doing it as a shuttle, but out and back can be fun too...
