Yo All!
Glad you all like the pics.
That's not pain: I think Jose was
laughing at me because I stopped on my loop to shoot pics (while he and the rest were
really racing). I'm a photographer -- what can I say? The light was great and I just happened to be carrying my big-ass Nikon (as I almost always do when riding -- it's my burden), so what could I do but stop and shoot. I wasn't beating anyone anyways -- I just wanted to make it through my third loop.
A couple more pics for you to check out at the bottom of this post...
Jose wrote to me and told me about your great site, so I joined up. It's great to meet all of you. Maybe I will see some of you on Saturday at
Southridge (2.10.07). I'll be the one with the little kid racing (and me too, hopefully). My son and I raced together out in Temecula and had a blast, even if we finished last -- I'm 48 and he's 11. We're kind of not the perfect racing specimens. I never will be, but give him a few years...
Please have a look at my
site if you want to see all the pics I shot during the race (pull down the main menu and select the
Out There Biking gallery, then click on the
12 Hours of Temecula pics in there).
Here's a few more from the sunset loop...

And this last one is of my son Willie coming in from his first lap earlier in the day. A proud moment for me.
Thanks so much.
