Im going to San Diego to seek good chunkiness for my big bike anyone care to join??

I'll say both of those mountains are pretty tough hikes for me. Either way, you're going to be pushing your bike up alot.
If you do Cowles Mtn there will be more super steep fire road.
If you do Iron Mtn there will be more switchback trails.

I'd say if I had to pick 1 to bike down Iron would be pretty cool, but I've never pushed my bike up it to find out.

I have done Iron mountain and Elie Lane trails alot of chunk, I don't mind pushin my bike if someone else is laboring with me...

I did Iron Mtn my first week out in CA....
It's pretty tough, but then again, I hadnt ridden in months at the time.

Have fun, San Diego is a really awesome area. Wish i could afford to live there!
