I just came across this race...http://www.hardingtt.com/ Anyone done it in the past or thinking of doing it this year? Is it a good event?
Same day as Southridge XC #4 (Double Points)...tough competition...too bad it isn't Sunday opposite the DH crowd.
Now that I would qualify for a new age class it's a little more tempting, but it's not like I'd finish in the medals, and I have a hard time with the idea of paying $45 to do one of my least favorite climbs.
I haven't checked the results but if guys by the name of Dana Weber or Tinker showed up, my money is on one of them. Unless someone from the IE took the grand prize.
Results are posted on the HardingTT facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/HardingTT Tinker got King of the Mountain at a blistering 51:30. Sick! For me I beat my best time by 6 minutes (1:08 down from 1:14) and got bumped up to Cat 1. 14th place, woo hoo! #-o Wasn't going to slow down just to get above 1:10. Next time I hope they bump folks up after someone goes faster than the cut-off times. Another guy got bumped to Cat 1 just because he finished half a minute under 1:10 (his previous fastest was 1:13). I know the rule is to guard against sandbagging, but... That being said, the course was super-fast and the event was even better than last year.
I dont have Face book to log in..................... I did see Omara almost go over the Mountain @ 4 corners, Tinker coasted through the finish line and i never seen so many fast guys in one place.. This was defiantly A ride performance for my first Expert race.
TT Results Something tells me, Tinker had more in him, no traffic maybe 48/49 minute climb.. http://hardingtt.com/pdfs/HTTresults2014.pdf
