Bicycle helmets (as oppose to motorsport helmets) are designed for single impacts so you should definitely get it replaced. Youre suppose to replace it even if you drop it hard (i think it was something like anything greater than a 5ft drop).

It's better to spend another $100-200 and know that your head is safe for the next crash (didnt maen to jinx it, lol)



i think people have done it so many times and the fact that it's suppose to be a "safe/easy" ride, people loose respect for it and treat it as if it was a walk in the park.

Actually Moto helmets are single use also. They use the same type of styrofoam. They are just designed to take larger forces then a bike helmet. Many people will continue to use a Moto helmet after a small impact but in reality it should be replaced just like a bike helmet. The only helmets I know of that is designed for multiple impacts and bike use are the Pro-tec B2 ace but they both are bucket helmet. It uses a different type of foam that can take multiple hits.

you know what, i think i got it mixed up.

forgot which ones are which but some helmets are designed to only take one impact (as in during the same accident) while others (i think m class helmets are one of them) are designed to take multiple impacts (as in when you get in a crash, your helmet can hit more than one object like in a rolling car).

but you are correct, ALL helmets should be replaced after they have seen any impacts.

It's cool minhster. I asked about helmets. Thou, I never doubted mine will be replaced. I'll never go cheap in regards to helmets and will never let Julia12 ride a bike without one. Not even in the fully parking lot. I'll also not let anyone join any of my rides without one, even if they are adults. It's just too dangerous and I don't want to see anyone get seriously hurt.
