I am selling my size small Niner SIR 9 in Hot Tamale Red. I love this bike but I have decided to sell it to fund a new project. Many of you have seen this bike and can attest that she's a real beauty. Will post pics later

I haven't set a price because it pains me to admit how much I'll be losing, but if you are really interested, then shoot me a PM with a reasonable offer and I will either say yes or laugh at you. Kidding. Kinda. :)

Hmmm...let's see...specs are:
White Industries shiny silver hubs.
Stan's ZTR 355 tubeless rims
Reba SL fork set at 100mm
Chris King headset (shiny silver)
XT cranks (almost new. really.)
LX front derailleur (almost new. really.)
X9 rear derailleur
X9 shifters
Juicy 7 brakes
Thomson seatpost (shiny silver)
Thomson stem (shiny silver)
Surly 1x1 handlebar (made by Nitto for Surly)
WTB rocket saddle
Salsa skewers (shiny silver)
and brand new red chain ring bolts for added bling :)

thanks for posting the pic, Sam. I was feeling too lazy to hunt one down. :lol:

The bike is a little different now, though. I went 3x9 with the XT crank so the silver bling factor is a little less now and I put on a squishy fork. Other than that, she's just as purty as ever. ;)

Wouldn't your Linda look hawt on this bike.
 
She would incredibly hawt on that bike, but she rides a medium. Plus, she's not riding right now since she's 8 months pregnant. Next new bike in this house is for me.
 
Lots of loyally Niner users out there, IMO excellent bikes, I own two Niners a 2007 RIP and a 2005 One-9...costumer service is outstanding. Having limited success it control bottom bracket creaks on the One-9 I brought Niners new eccentric bottom bracket design and after a couple of rides it is working flawless. The new EBB's are hard to track down and Niners site said they are backordered so I called Niner and they had a couple of pink ones. Not my first choice but it should get the Slowspokes seal of approval.

Hard to track down....unless you shop at The Path. We have the black ones in stock!!

But...the pink is very "you" Dean!

Gotta agree with you 1000% there, Dean. They were out of rigid forks when I ordered mine, so they lent me a used one until they came in so that I could ride. Very cool.

And when I first test rode this bike at the Corba Fat Tire Fest a couple years ago, they had no size small bikes to use for the demo so Chris Sugai, the co-owner of Niner bikes, volunteered his own bike and that's the one I rode. :)

For those interested in this bike, let me say it's purrrrty even when dirty. This is one of a couple times i've seen it dirty, it always seems spotless at the beginning of each ride. :-k I dig the White Industries hubs in all their polished glory, hopefully Q puts up some pics of those.

I <3 Quinn's bikes and use them for inspiration. ;)

Quinn, that's a really sweet rig. I've been thinking about a 29er, but decided to build something else. Good luck with the sale.
 
For those who are worried that this bike may be too small, the small Niners seem to run big (for me). I'm 5'11", and when I rode Quinn's bike, I thought it was a good fit for me. I really liked how the bike felt; it rides as good as it looks!

So what kind of new project could be worth selling this? Inquiring minds want to know!
 
Okay, I finally had a little time to take some new pics of the bike. There are of course, some small insignificant scratches and tiny nicks in the paint. Because it's a mountain bike. Luckily, Niner bikes in all their brilliance include a small vial of touch up paint.

Does this mean DavidB is also going to sell his Niner for another Speckledtrout build? ;)
 
there may be some truth to that when you see what's shes replacing it with :bang: mine is staying put though. :bang:
 
I can't believe this hasn't sold yet. Absolutely beautiful bike and top notch component choice.
