FS: Hope Pro II with DT hoops

Hey everyone

For sale is my very lightly used set of Hope Pro II hubs laced to DT 5.1 and 6.1 rims. DT double butted spokes and alloy nipples that were hand built by path. The rear is the 10mm bolt on/"fun bolt" axle to make it even stiffer. :bang:

The front wheel is laced to the DT 6.1 rim for wider profile and rounder/bigger tire profile. The rear wheel is laced to the DT 5.1 rim for faster rolling but still very strong. These wheels have less than 200 miles!

As you can see from the picture they have been used mainly for XC and luge is the toughest trail they've been on so far. The cassette body is practically new. And they are as true as freakn laser beams on sharks' head.

SOLD!

I just prefer the QR in the rear on my all mountain ride. The rear 5.1 rim is actually more of the AM caliber wheel anyhow.

Yes they can be converted to QR or 10mm through axle. I would suggest if you are going for QR at least take a look at DT's RWS system.

The bolts are 6mm allen wrench so they are almost as easy and quick to take off as QR.....but far stronger.

I am stoked, like I said so close to what I was in the process of shopping out, for much less. STR rocks, now I am more glad than ever that I joined!!

would have been mine, but wrong color Q [-X

Building up the same set myself so hopefully this combo gets a good review

Gun smoke is always the right color!

They are great wheels that deserve a much better rider than a wanna be weight weenie that walks down anything with bumps. #-o

Haha....that wanna be weight weenie that walk down everything would be.....yours truly.

I feel far better walking down stuff with a weight weenie XC bike than a capable 6inch almost FR bike. Kinda embarrassing actually. The XC bike at least give me an excuse.

ha! thats why i prefer to ride a rigid bike...always gives me an excuse to puss out!

Hey Duke did you get to weigh those? Wondering how much they weighed in at.

Ah sorry never tried to weight them. They are not XC light but they are definitely lighter than 90% of the stock wheels.
According to online weight charts the wheels weights in at 1950g.

The front rim is a bit heavy(600g) but damn light for how wide it is.....and the wide rim really gives the tire a very nice profile.
