I want to upgrade to 180mm just because I have upgradeitis. I bumped the travel on my reign to 6.75" of travel and I want the front to match. Would I be downgrading if I went to a RS Domain from my Fox 36? I'd like to hear from those of you who have tried both forks.

180mm fork may make that bike feel like a chopper. Climbing could suffer and it may take some getting used to the higher bottom bracket.

I have a Reign as well. I would keep the 36. The domain would be overkill, not to mention a huge weight penalty. I don't think the frame was designed to handle a 180 mm fork anyway.
