A little Shaggy
Hey everyone. while I love my reignX, I'm looking to go for a bigger bike to get my DH fix on. just throwing this out there though, since I kinda needa sell this guy off to get a new bike.
build as follows:
-Large Giant Reign X, 2007
-cane creek zero-stack, low top cap (not the big carbon cone like most reigns)
-rockshox Domain 302 U-turn, newly rebuilt
-Formula ORO K24 brakes, 8/7" F/R
-X9 shifter, X9 super short rear mech
-saint cranks (175mm, old style), e.13 34T guide ring
-E.13 SRS
-PG-970 cassette
-Supergo Launch wheels (essentially outlaws). front has a tioga DH rim, and matching rim for rear would be included.
-thomson X4 50mm stem
-Sunline V1 bars (19mm rise, 745 width)
-Ritchey WCS post
-Bontrager Race Light saddle
-ODI grips
-2.5 maxxis DHF/2.5 kenda nevegal
Weight comes to between 35.5 and 38ish lbs with this setup, depending on pedals/tires. plenty of room to lose weight, as it was built for DH and durability. XT cranks and a front derailleur would make this a great AM bike, and it has the capability to handle most every Socal downhill venue.
all I gotta say is that it's a great bike. light, fast, great jumper, and very capable. the bike is well used, but not abused. there are scratches, but all are superficial and do not affect the integrity of anything. I think the worst one involves the fact that the stem only says "THOMSO" on the front due to a scratch.
I'm not going to part it out, and I'd like a local sale (I'm not gonna ship it).
I'm looking for around 1700 OBO. yes, I realize you can get a new one for this, but these components are a step above your average Reign X1.
here's what she looks like. a few parts have changed (now a domain fork, tioga front rim, added an SRS, changed saddle and rotor sizes)
