Nice ride! What makes it great is the scenery behind-the dam climb before CHSP. Let me know if you ever want a riding buddy. I ride Northridge every weekend.

My first Hardtail and first 29er

This will be my ultimate climbing machine. Full custom build 29er carbon frame with full 2012 Shimano XT Groupset, Rock Shox Reba XX 100mm Fork and Sun Ringle Black Flag Pro Wheelset. Weight in at 23lb 5oz with new 2012 Shimano XT pedals.

I have not had a chance to take this baby onto a trail yet... Where should I take it for its maiden voyage? :-k

It is a China made 29er carbon frame from a company called LT Bikes. This one is their model LTK023. Here is the link to their web page on Alibaba:

    http://ltbike.en.alibaba.com/

I had posted the geometry of this frame on STR before on my quest to build up this bike. Here is the thread with the geometry diagram:

    http://www.socaltrailriders.org/forum/general-discussion/59375-bb30-bottom-bracket-shimano-crankset.html

You will find the diagram toward the middle of the thread. I ended up got the frame with regular BB instead of BB30.

There is a huge thread on MTBR that people discuss the China made 29er carbon frames and how they built up their bikes with it.

    http://forums.mtbr.com/29er-bikes/chinese-carbon-29er-640919-33.html

There are mainly three different companies that sell 29er carbon frames with slightly different design and geometry. I ended up picked LT Bikes and their frame because I like the full internal cable routing and the head angle.

    Cheers,
