I looking for a bike for my 11 y.o. son. I would like an XS (13"-15") hardtail, prefer steel, but will consider aluminum. Average component group and front shock preferred. Thanks.

I have a GT avalanche that was my girlfriends. I bought it for her to introduce her to MTBing and we quickly upgraded her to a larger frame.
It was a younger kids before, maybe 10-12 years old. The frame is in good shape, only includes a crankset though.
