    WTB Verizon phone

Let me know what you have, prefer something non-smartphone ish, i currently have a treo 700wx and have had a few Q's. I like them but i don't use them even remotely close to their capabilities and i cannot justify spending an additional 44 dollars a month for them (data plan) so let me know what you have, maybe work some sorta trade angle :?:, nothing too flinstony if you can help it :-s

I have that same phone and same unlimited data plan from Verizon. Why not downgrade to the limited data plan (I think $25.00) or drop data all together and keep the phone? I use it and need it for work to access email but otherwise, I'd drop it too. The perks are accessing STR while doing 75 on LA freeways (or in bumber-to-bumber traffic, more like it.)

yea I'm posting from it right now haha, that's why I wouldn't go with the limited data plan, I go on the internet a lot or use google maps this and that.. but I'm looking to cut costs, I've been ridin the bike a couple times a week to work and it'd help to get rid of the data plan

:edit: also I think the treo uses a portion of kilobytes with txting, or that's what I was told

Sean, check out the new Blackberry Storm by Verizon. It's designed to compete with the iPhone, big touch screen and all. My one and big gripe is it's no WiFi ready but I'm still seriously considering switching and soon. I'm so tired of my Treo. New unlimited data plan is going to be offered for $29 a month. Not bad!

my whole issue started when my 1st gen moto Q started going south (it was a known software glitch but they would not upgrade me to the 2nd gen) so i went in, at this time i had it for a year, they offered to upgrade me to the treo 700 (which i still have), i asked if they were going to extend my contract. manager mentioned no, i stupidly took a verbal agreement vs something in writing (didn't even get the managers name #-o), fastforward another couple months, i see they did in fact extend my contract 2 years. so that puts me at 3yrs "hard labor" with the treo. of those 3yrs i still have 10 months, i'm debating whether to just buy a new phone for retail (eff that noise have you seen some of the retail prices?), wait another 10 months tell i can get my "new contract" discount. or opt to find a basic phone off craigslist or something. the main reason i want another phone is the price of the data plan. even with my 25% off monthly discount (through work) my bill still comes out to 91 or so, i never go over 200-300 minutes a month.

so that being said, any suggestions?

[disclaimer] yes i know my punctuation/grammar suck [/disclaimer]

    *edit*

joe is that new unlimited data plan just for the storm? if it's for all phones do you know when it'll be implemented? i'd like to change to that to save me a couple bucks a month

i have an LG enV (silver) and an LG Voyager... both have regular wear and tear although the enV is still fairly new (got as a replacement, then upgraded to the voyager). can sell you either for cheap... planning on getting me a new one soon.
