freeway series would be cool but not cool for the economy....we need people flying here and spending money locally.

Game #2 was such a depressing game for the Angels. Izturis effed up BIG TIME. ](*,) Pay-Rod thumped Fuentes. Terrible pitch with two strikes on him. I know its a team effort BUT I'm putting the blame on Vlad. He left a boat load of runners on base and in scoring position. [-X He's a notorious bad pitch swinger. The scouting reports say to just pitch Vlad very outside and low. He'll swing and miss. #-o Like clock-work. His play has really declined the last two seasons and he earns way too much money ($16 million this season) for his performances. He's a free agent after this season and the word is the Angels will not sign him. The Angels need that savings to sign Figgy and Abreu. Who knows about Lackey? I have a hunch Lackey is gone, too, this off-season. Lots of tough decisions for the Angels. :-k :-k Napoli and Mathis are mediocre. Napoli seems to over swing every time he goes up to bat. This area also needs to be addressed.

I put the curse on you and I am sorry but once the curse is cast I cannot take it back.:lol: Vlad Vlad last week against the Boston series OC Angels fans thought he could do no wrong. Wow look how quicky you turn on him.:lol: I love it I love it. Next year maybe you should change your name to the Los Angeles Bills.

No he didn't but every once in a while a dog finds a bone. It's not acceptable to swing at pitches that bounce in front of the plate regularly. Every major leaguer swings at bad pitches from time to time but for Vlad its chronic. He is stubborn and won't have anything to do with the Bobby Abreu school of patience. If Vlad would lay off on some of that garbage he swings at he would walk more or get a fast ball over the plate to whack when he's ahead of the count. He used to be a very intimidating hitter before his injuries. Now that he's older and a step or two slower he doesn't want to make adjustments. There's no I in TEAM.

But there is an I in accountability and responsibility. I agree with you about Vlad...there is no excuse for swinging at a ball that bounces in the left handed hitters box. But he is leading the angels in post season hits...which is sad because he only has 6 hits. Fuentes should not have thrown A-Rod an 0-2 high fast ball! It was the biggest mistake he has ever made, and Mathis shouldn't have let him throw it! There are a ton of reasons they lost that game Vlad stranding 8, Fuentes throwing a bad pitch...but what about the team batting .154 in the series? Where are the hits?!?!?!?!?!?

That being said...they can still do this!! They are down but not out!

Angels are not out of it yet. They can still do it. But to have to win 4 out of 5 with probably facing C.C. twice, it doesn't look good.

    C'MON ANGELS!

It doesn't look good for either Los Angeles team, Los Angeles Dodgers or the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
They are not out but they both have to do a better job. They both have a steep hill to climb. They can both do it if they play up to their abilities.
    Go Team!!!

I think Im gonna have an ulcer by the end of this series!

"Just another Halo Victory" isnt quite appropriate but I'll take it.

Vlad had one big hit and could have gone from goat to hero if he would have delivered with the bags full there at the end of the game.
