I am totally willing to go out in the rain tomorrow, as I am absolutely reluctant to get on the trainer....my only problem--I don't want to be on the news as the crazy cyclist swept away by the river trail waters. Any suggestions for road rides in OC during the storm?????? I'm hoping for 60miles, mostly flat :?:
I just pray that we don't read about that crazy cyclist that was hit by a car. You really need to go on a good mud ride on your mtb.
Could Back Bay in Newport be made into a safe ride? Might be kinda boring and I haven't ridden there in years, so I can't exactly recall... You're in HB; why not just ride the beach path?
Yeah, but they close the trail down when the water level gets too high......yesterday afternoon it was ragin' pretty good.
That was exactly my concern. Luckily, it stopped raining early and actually dried out a bit--the little lake under PCH was even dry (where the water pools up with just a tad bit of rain). But, there were places that were awfully muddy and slippery, especially by the big A.
I may do Maple Springs to Joplin on Thursday. I'm on vacation this week, and want to get up there and hit Joplin in the snow. Did it was about 4 years ago, and it was FUN! Feel free to join me if you want. What time are you heading up tomorrow? I need to get in a recovery ride, so I'd be slow and only up to Four Corners. But, I have the boys in town (step-son and his friend) and I think they need a bit of torture

depending on tomorrows weather I may join a MS ride. i am not looking for Joplin though so I may part ways with you guys at that point and hit the peak.

I have to work tomorrow. I am off for two weeks though starting Saturday. I am planing on riding a lot! I wish it was warm!!!
