Well, I posted a year ago saying I was looking for a flying job and working on my flight instructor rating. I am unemployed this time around as well, except I just quit my flight instructing job in San Diego and will be moving on to my regional first officer job next month probably in the St. Louis area.

Export Specialist

I'm Bo.

Previously worked 16+ years as a corporate slave for a large money manager, bond trade settlements and portfolio attribution... basically I did some number crunching & data mining for long hours and not enough pay.

In order to have more riding time, I quit my job to run my own business. Currently I'm a buyers agent for overseas wholesalers and specialize in freight consolidation. That's right, I export products and help keep US manufacturers in business. New found skill: forklift driver & can load 10 pallets in a 20' container in 20 minutes by myself.

I exchanged a regular paycheck & bonuses for riding time.

Losing the micro-managing boss: cost = 135K+
Getting my soul back: cost = priceless

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

I sell janitorial supplies business to business (schools, churches, industry, hospitality, health care, etc) If you are a buyer or know a buyer of these items, please get a hold of me, I always have the best customer service, and I'll beat anyones price.

I have a business in medical devices. Our most common services for American customers is providing high quality OEM solutions from China, especially for interventional accessories (angiography syringes/catheters, high pressure stopcocks/manifolds, seldinger needles, fixed core guidewires, hemostasis balloons, introducer sets, y connector kits, and spine tool kits). We are also a California rep for a cutting edge turnkey nitinol electropolishing solution which produces extremely impressive results.

As far as skills I most often help people out with: computer/tech advising and problem solving. Whether its getting the most for your money (brand, timing, options), home networking, hardware, software, etc., I help out almost everyone in my office, even though I'm not the IT guy. It's a hobby that kind of feeds itself. Once you start being the "tech support" guy, you keep seeing/solving more and more issues, thus expanding useful knowledge. That, and I dig crunching through tech websites regularly.

Actual job: Attorney (defense litigation). I make them wish they never sued you. :bang:
