Just ordered this at JensonUSA... Any input on this bike? Using it to stay in shape and active when there is no time to hit the Mountain Trail.

    ^^ It needs pedals.

    :bang:

Nice looking new sled. You'll need some lycra to go with that...

Join a local club so you are not buying a euro wannabe team kit. Looks cooler than just wearing plain cycling clothing and you'll get maybe a tad more respect on the road from other roadies. Do a club ride to learn how to ride on the road (and how not to ride) and learn what a Fred is...If you can hang with the club rides (there are some Cat 1's and seriously fast riders in most weekend rides) then try Como.
    Here's a list:

Now you are going to have to shave your legs too.

I'm just curious why you didn't get it through the support links for STR :D

Seriously though thats a fun bike, we had one built and pedaled around on it and it felt pretty good. I personally don't think you always need to be on a group ride. Sometimes it is great to just get out and ride on your own with out the advantage of the pack.

I'll start out slow before I work my way up to group riding. I currently have a few Friends that ride every Sunday, they been pushing me to join them on a ride.

My main priority would always be mountain biking before road ride. I purchased this for convenience since Chino Hills State Park is no longer open for Weekday riding, this bike would give me other options.

I was told that the carbon frame has more flex then the aluminum frame, therefore you would have a smother ride with a carbon frame, less stiffer.

I have always thought carbon is stiffer than aluminum and it is a smoother ride because it disperses the vibrations a lot better.

I haven't decided on the pedals, shall it be Roads or MTB Pedals. Shall it be XTR, XT, Atac, welgo, Shimano Dura Ace, Look keo.

I currently ride with Platforms on my MTB, this won't do on a Road Bike.

I have about 1 1/2 week before the bike is delivered/ Built.

I'm using Shimano SPD's on my road bike right now. Not the lightest pedal, but I didn't feel like dishing out more money on pedals when these work fine for now.

+1 for Speedplay. They are the only road pedal that has dual entry (you can clip in on either side of the pedal. Keo, Look, Shimano road pedals only clip in on one side. Speedplays are much much easier to get in and out of.

Needless to say you will need road specific shoes too.

You say you just "ordered it"?
Did you get to sit/ride on one first? Road bikes are a lot more finicky when it comes to fit/correct size. And like most other cyling items, manufacturer to manufacturer and model to model will fit/feel different. So testing a 58cm Scott will feel different then a 58cm Orbea, etc etc etc

Other then that it is a nice ride. For pedals, if you run clipless on your mtb then get some that use the same engagement. That way you only need the mtb shoes.
If you do not mind/can afford to get a second set of pedals/shoes then I would recommend Look KEO Sprints. If price is not a concern then go with the Keo Carbons.
