Have you ever had an idea for a better bike part/system? I am sure the pseudo-inventor in all of us has come up with some wild ideas that we think would benefit our biking community.
For those of you who don't care to make millions on your "revolutionary" ideas, and just want get it out there, post your thoughts, and maybe your product will come to life.
To start, I would like to see a saddle that can incrementaly adjust fore and aft, preferably with a conveniently located lever to adjust on the fly. This would help shift rider weight while climbing & descending, especially benefitting a longer travel bike. (Sitting on the nose of a saddle while climbing just feels wrong)
New Clipless Design! I was thinking of clips where you enter/slide into the pedal from the side, and not locked in laterally. That way you get the benefit of rotational resistance (simultanious push/pull), yet can slide your shoe out of the pedal while descending into tight corners or unexpecteed situations. I personally find it difficult to react to a front-end wash out while twisting my heel outward before my toes. (yes...this idea needs work)
Ideas?? :-k
