I plan on it after missing it last year with back problems. That has been fixed, so no excuses this time around. I have debated it for to long. CC first go around.

HJ lot to base of WHT:
    The distance is 2.65 miles.
    The climb is 980'

30 minutes should be the average climbing time. On balance it's the same difficulty as years past but punishes the slower rides who can't make it in 30 minutes.

PS The 2010 course description still says 5:30 AM start.

Exactly, because if you are just making it to HJ lot at noon, more than likely you haven't been riding a pace that would give you time to get there. If you are strong enough to leave yourself time to get to the base of WHT, why chance it a leave only 30 min. Those slower riders will struggle to get there especially already doing 40 miles at that point which is why in years past would not have been allowed to continue past HJ lot if they arrived at noon.

The info on the WS website will be updated next week. I already told Sherry and Chris about a few weeks ago that the "description" still says 5:30. I'll let the WS webmaster know.

I too am thinking about VQ... sounds like we should put together a group training program. First Sunday of every month we all meet up and do a portion of it? :?:

The page still says 5:30. But the only effect it will have is that you will stand around and freeze for an extra 30 minutes.
