    I hope more come forward with their stories and call the District Attorney in Berkley. I know he won't do any time on this case but maybe banning him from the trails as a condition of probation would work for me.

    MV posted every MTBing death he could find on the newsgroups. I hope someone points that out to the DA.

    I've been attempting to read this guy's papers and responses on forums, articles, discussion groups, etc. For such an educated guy, his writing is extremely emotionally charged and often immature. I have trouble taking any of it seriously, even the parts I agree with. Someone on alt.mountain-bike said it best: sociopath.

    UCPD contacted the suspect who admitted to holding a saw in front of some bicyclists on a trail and contacting one of them with the saw.

    My favorite quote from the police report is this: "The victims asked the suspect why he had attacked them." Yeah, after someone "contacts" me with a hacksaw (not exactly the most deadly weapon in the world), that would be my first reaction...not pounding the living shit out the guy.:rolleyes:

    There's a good article in this months BIKE magazine on Mike. Seems he was convicted and banned from the trails he "loves" for three years, and 30 days of road maintenance. Cal-trans maybe.

    Couldn't find a link on the bike magazine web site, but quite entertaining reading.
    On a side note, my first post on the internet was on Alt.mt-bike in response to mike v. Quite some time ago....

    Ride on my friends, the trails just got safer.
