I wasn't able to get White Rim Trail permits this year, so I wanted an alternative to my trip. Any ideas? I was thinking the Hurricane, St. George area. I wanted to do some light off roading, camping, hiking, and biking. Any tips would be awesome.

Are you looking from vehicle supported rides? If so you can use parts of the Great Western Trail...actually roads but goes thru some sweet area. http://www.greatwesterntrail.org/

If multi day self supported on bike the Arizona Trail http://www.aztrail.org/at_map.html or Colorado Trail http://www.coloradotrail.org/

For many other ideas. http://www.bikepacking.net/

NOTE: You do not need a White Rim permit for one day trips, only overnighters. Strong riders can get thru the ride in one day. Or have a chase truck bring you back out.

Brianhead is awesome, wish I still had Highschool bros working there, I miss it.Killer 4 wheeling, killer moto singletrack, Incredible biking, Camping is unreal.

I was actually thinking of doing a week there. Do a couple days of car camping/offroading/hiking. THen do a few days of hotel assisted biking local trails.

The area that keeps calling me back and I want to spend more time there is, North Kaibab Plateau around the Jacob Lake and North Rim Grand Canyon (Rainbow Rim Trail). If you come in from the North (Utah) it can easily be add to Bryce Canyon and Zion areas.
