Taylor lives up in Topanga right near my old drummer Craig's house (just a few houses down the street, in fact). He used to stop by when we were rehearsing in Craig's garage. I was really pushing Craig to get him out for my Millennium ride in March of '10, but it was not to be -- he was playing some sort of show that night... That woulda been fun, eh?

Tim Commerford (RATM) did one of the Paths Bikes N Beers ride a few years ago. I think he was living in Tustin Ranch at the time.

Looking closer at the bike there is something zip-tied to the non-rotor side of the Fox fork. A Secret Service remote cam maybe?

^^ That is so apropos of the moment for me! We put in a tankless (Noritz NR50OD) last week, and it is only connected to a single-point-of-use shower. For love or money I could not get hot (HOT!) water out of the damned thing. I went around and around with a tech from Japan named Daichi Nakagawa, and also my installer. Round and round we went, checking gas pressure, water pressure, distance to meter, etc., etc. Man, we were at our wits' end. Then my contractor put his fingers on the hot pipe in the unit, and it was like Mordor!!! WTF???

As it turns out (and this may be due to lawsuits in the past brought on by dingbats who burned themselves on their own Mordor hot water...), Delta installs governors in the handles of their shower sets. WHO KNEW?!?!?! All we had to do was remove the handle, and move that governing attenuator more to the left to allow the full flow of hot water. Boy, it was hot (HAWT!!!) after we did that. Me happy now (I truly thought I'd completely blown it when all we got was 80º tepid lukewarm water out of it...).
