Anyone else have a problem with hard climbs on cool dry days and coughing with a dry throat until you vomit? Tried to get in the 5 minute Cholla club, hammered so hard that I got a scratchy, dry throat despite drinking amble water. Barfed on a couple of the hard coughs on my way to Rockit while riding and soiled my glove. You know what, there's really no way to clean up a vomit soiled glove on the trail.

As an aside, didn't make it under 5 minutes.

Ewww...NO!! I'll be sure never to ride behind you on climbs - poop I can handle, puke...no way!!

Don't they have the Poo Bags on the trails? This would have been a single glove, Michael Jackson ride after this. Time to look for glove specials at your LBS.

Was racing MX at Elsinore and happened to get a holeshot, never had I been in the lead so I pushed harder than ever, by the 3rd lap of 6 I threw up in my full face helmet, I pulled off and tried to lift the helmet off in time to no avail with the strap still buckled. Oh yea, some got on the glove! It was cold dry air. Those were the best 3 laps of my life! :bang:

You went DEEP in the redzone. I do this on just about every Enduro stage that I race, that is the breathing part, not the puking part!

oh my:clap:

The worst is when you're riding behind someone who decides to blow a snot rocket and you get hit by the residual spray.

Get that stuff out of the way when you are young, that would give me a heart attack at my age.

I don't know if it's the same thing as you're talking about but when it's dry out I sometimes get phlegm caught in the back of my throat and lungs. Sometimes I'll spend 45-60min trying to hack it up. I've never puked but dry heaved a few times.
