Southridge Winter Series Race #3 2/6-7

I didn't think I missed anyone last race. There were some out of focus pictures and some that weren't that great but I thought I got everyone. I guess an out of focus picture is as good as not having one.

Hopefully the 20% will make for some cool pictures.

I'm planning on camping out there in the back of my jeep if you want someone to camp with so you don't have to deal with the hotels.

 

andy, I shot the last winter series race last year due to injury, and it was one of the wet ones. I just took a really big zip loc bag, and cut a hole just smaller than the size of the lens at the bottom. then I used the lens filter to seal the lens onto the hole. kept the camera dry all day.

granted, it's a bit cumbersome, and it's hard to use settings, manual focus, and zoom, but it keeps the camera dry :lol:

Gonna be there tomorow by noon. Will be spending friday and saturday night there in my tent

 

Good luck in the rain. There probably wont be too many people there on friday night. Last time I stayed there on Friday I think it was me, the race promoters and maybe 1 or 2 other people.

Ill be camping out on Saturday. Look for a dark jeep grand cherokee with a big BlueFirePictures.com banner on the side.

Maybe we should find all the STR campers and make our own camp.

On Saturday Ill be parked next to the XC start. I normally move to more level ground before I sleep. Ill keep an eye out for you.

Ill be cruising around on a really old Red Line after the races on Saturday.
