thanks to your wife for pics, hey 9th isnt bad! Saturday practice was my first time back on the DH bike after being off saddle for 6 months recovering my L1, L2, and L4 spine discs. and I end up 23rd.. my stamina is missing, although no crashes!

Of all the people with cameras pictured, only one other person besides me took a photo.

Support your local photographer and buy from Blue Fire Pictures. Because Andy (I think is his name) got you covered. And if that's not Blue Fire and it's not Andy then my bad but buy local anyway. :)

    No prisoners!

More here but I was experimenting with panning today so the pictures there are only the ones that were decent. In any case, good job to all that raced. See you next round!

There were some nasty falls in that section.

My buddy Eric is the guy getting passed, he raced the 12hrs of Temecula XC race solo (got like 95 miles) on Saturday & didn't get a chance to practice DH at all till Sunday morning. Needless to say his legs were toast before the race even started.

Pics are up! A big thanks to Andy from Bluefire Pictures for loaning me an extra memory card :bang:
Another big thanks to Rich Houseman. My son took his DH clinic on Saturday that lasted all day. I noticed a hugh improvement from my son on race day! My son's confidence level shot through the roof and he can't wait for the next race :bang:
    See ya next race!
    Enjoy!

And you're not asking about Mccormack???

Unfortunately, it's tough for the older guys having to compete with the young kids. Even a skilled rider like Mccormack doesn't have the fitness of a 20 year old. And Tom has to go to work on Monday.

    Totally tubular, man...

Felt good on the bike all day saturday in dh practice, even still wearing an ace bandage on the wrist I sprained two weeks ago during practice. Only fell once, another lowside trying to make the bike corner like an R6... Then Sunday I took one practice run, felt great. Come race time I started out perfect, good line through the first turn, even pedaling between turns up top, then SMACK! Another lowside, which appears to be turning into a theme for me. But I quickly picked the bike up and got back to crankin'. I finally get to the wall and sit down because, frankly, I'm kinda pooped by that point, but I keep pedaling as hard as my legs will bear until PSSSSSSHHHHHH I guess I should have steered around that knife-edge boulder sticking out of the ground. Instant flat rear tire, so I got off and walked. Ended the weekend with a DNF.

Hmm, I'd forgotten how frustrating racing can be. I can't wait for the next race, hah!

Were you right near the end of the race? There was a 5+ minute gap and we though that was it. We heard Donny on his bike headed down so we left. We ended up missing the last 5 riders or so.

    What was your plate number?
