First time for Sea Otter for myself and racing XC Cat 3 on Friday...but was wondering if you guys recommend pre-registering or does on-site registering not make much of a difference in terms of lines and packet pick up.

    Thanks for the input!!

I can not seem to find the link to the pre-registered athletes for Sea Otter. I know I seen it somewhere, but where I do not know. If anyone knows, please let me know. Thanks

    Need help for Dual Slalom

So, based on the fact that I have been off the bike for 6 weeks, my fitness level is a tad less than normal. That being said, I am looking to hire someone to push my bike up the hill during DS practice, qualifying and finals. I am willing to pay!!!! If there is anyone who is going to have some spare time and would be willing to help me out, I would be eternally greatful!

    Thursday Practice 8:00am to 11:00am, Qualifying 2:00pm
    Friday Practice 8:00am to 8:45am, FINALS 9:00am

If you can talk to my boss and talk him into giving me friday off, i'll push your bike up the hill all day friday, for free.
In all seriousness, i'm gonna talk to my boss tomorrow and double check that i can have friday off, and if so i would be more than happy to hike your bike for you.
you would think at a bike shop he would be ecstatic for me racing with his jersey at the biggest race on our side of the world. Guess not :?:
I'll let you know about friday.. unfortunately, i wont be there thursday AM. :-k

Hey I'm leaving tomorrow morning and staying through Saturday morning, so if anyone's around and wants to come by camping area "H" for a beer (or Motor Tab) and a friendly face, come on by. Silver Jeep with a GT Dirt Coalition pop-up in the camp.

Good luck to everyone this weekend.

    Hmmm...so what class to race?

At Fontana I normally race Expert for DH and I can usually pull a top 6 (I won the last race of 2008). I have never raced DS, however. I plan on racing both at Sea Otter. So, what classes should I run? It seems like the Expert class also includes Semi-Pros...or maybe I'm just mistaken.

In any case, for anyone that knows me, perhaps you can suggest the appropriate class. I haven't raced all season so I don't want to get smoked, but I'm still quick and I don't want to be sandbagger. There's no honor in that! Any ideas? :?:

It was updated on 4/13 so it should be pretty close to correct.

If you don't already have a USA Cycling license you may have to race Cat 2. In the past in order to race Expert you had to have top 5 placings in several races and them you had to request an upgrade.
