The schedule changes from year to year. We usually go Wednesday and ride the XC for fun and walk the DH course. Sometimes we race on Sunday so we stay the night and drive home on Monday.

The closest and most INEXPENSIVE ... find some friends that are camping and slit the cost and you will be right there at the track.

Other wise the lowest prices seem to be in Salinas, lots of hotels and motels and about 15min drive to the Otter. Just be sure to leave early because the traffic can suck as it is a two lane Hwy.

Ok USAC question. You can get a one day race permit so I would need two one for DH and one for DS? I am doing the math to see which is better deal.

Nevermind they want 10 per event so its just better to get yearly membership even though they charge you and then refund you the 10 per event.

not going to race, but I'll probably make it up to watch/chill with people. I think I can probably snag some floor space at a friend's house for the weekend :)

I could probably get you a ride, but no guarantees on a place to stay.

sea otter is a bit rich for my blood to be racing, but it's just like any other race from what I can tell. just pre-reg and show up.

personally, bringing the DJ and going to chill with friends and check out the skills/skatepark area. maybe try and sneak a practice run down the DS in :?:;)

The DH is fun, pricey, but possibly the biggest class you will have all year. And, there is a good showing of vendors as well!!!
