Road Ride Report Saw George on PCH

Anyone else see BMC team on PCH Saturday? They were heading South in full blood-red and black team kit aswe were riding North near Zuma. George actually waved back at us - I've met him before and he's genuinely a great guy! There were a whole bunch of ordinary folks strung out behind them for a bout two miles; as if they thought they could hang:lol:

Did my first century in over two years, in 5:40, and still can't believe it. From Corbin and Roscoe (in SFV) over Sepulveda, San Vicente to PCH, up Las Posas to Moorpark and then through Simi over Santa Susana Pass back to the valley. Pretty flat but lots of scenery and little traffic. I gotta get a camera!

 

George Foreman? Good to know he's into mountainbiking.

Thanks all for a couple rip snorting green tea spraying out the nose belly laughs!

 

I saw him...

...and met him, and some world champs too. I did some stalking at the BMC camp. The highlight of the day was riding up Yerba Buena, being passed by the team and getting a 'hey!' from George who recognized us.

Thought I saw one of the other BMC guys in their kit w/ bike going up the 101 in Del Mar yesterday, but thought "naa, they're probably in Europe or something." And now I see they are in SoCal. Maybe it was.

 

Yesterday on my route as I was heading south towards Trancas I saw George & someone else riding north.
I made a U-turn and drove well ahead of them and pulled over and begged him to stop. He was so nice!
I deliver to lots of big name stars in Malibu but seeing the Pro racers gets me more than any of the others.
I know...I'm a geek but it was just so cool!
Madame Dabalots husband rode with George and Craig Hummer from VS. last week.
She said George climbed Deer Creek twice, Yerba Buena twice and Decker twice. Anyone familiar with those climbs?
I am and they are death climbs!! Once, let alone twice is a killer!!
