SS Slackers starting out.

Someone told me to lead, so I took off. Kept looking back...but didn't see the rest of the group until we were back at Cook's? :?:

Btw, I believe Neil is pointing in the photo telling you to go.

But whatever Dub. We took a vote and you just got voted off SSlacker Island!

Hear ye, hear ye......

Let it be said once and for all that The Pack of Ladies (and the gentlemen accompanying them) showed the so-called Slackers what it means to BE slackers. We proudly rode at the back of the pack for just over 8 hours (3 on SS's). While we were slightly outside of the official cutoff, I think the volunteers enjoyed seeing that we were still trudging(sp?) along ever so slowly.

Hey, Doug specifically told us at the beginning that we were not to engage in any acts of racing. The way I see it, we were just following orders.

what the hell are we smiling for? oh yeah, because we were only a few miles in

edit: and how the heck is Chewy ahead of Timmy and I?!!!!

That guy was too busy pumpin iron when exiting clipless class was in session!

Happened to dislocated1 on our road ride yesterday...he didnt have a broad to land on though, just a cross walk.

Dang that guy almost took out Doris. Whew, good thing she's got the 12hours of Socal to race in June.

How'd this guy lose his shoe in the process?

If you are going to call out min weights I want to start a club for next year too...300lbs minimum weight of bike/rider/gear. Was I the only one in that club for the 50 if not was I the only one in the club on a SS? I always wonder what it would be like to ride with a fast guy on a ballasted bike aka = playing field.

Also wore the jersey yesterday...very nice jersey...man sizes would have been a nice option but I will rock the XL and crack.

Heck, I think my camelback weighed about that much with all the tools and spare parts I carried......#-o

Maurice - Say Hi to Sharon on behalf of KonaDupee, XHuskr, and me. We all ran into each other a few times during various CC training rides. I still can't believe she was serious when she said she wasn't doing the CC but just liked the training rides. #-o

And Schecky, thanks for posting a pic of the reason we all rode. The shots of the kids games were cool to see since most of us missed that part, but it's great to see the coffee bike and be reminded of the great cause behind this fun event.

BTW: Only now am I realizing just how many STR peeps were there! Some I met for the first time, some I knew and visited with, and a whole bunch I seem to have completely ignored for no apparent reason and apologize to! Abui, I think that goes especially for you, since I think that was you sitting across the table from MtnKitty and I during the raffle. Sorry!

I'd like to give that Clyde racing division a try:-k are they fast guys?

Beginner class I pretty much have to give everythign i have to do well and that pace would get me smoked in my age class or sport clyde. I refer to xc racing to anybody who asks me as a heartattack or heat stroke that I pay to do. Most of the guys racing clyde are either really tall and lean or just sand baggers looking for an easy win. Its rare I see a fatguy racing the class but makes me feel that much better to beat the people racing the class. If I ever drop below 230 I will not race clyde as I feel I would just destroy aka be a sandbagger.
