    Sounds like the majority of board members raced DS/DH. Anybody race XC?

    Sea Otter was my first race and I loved it! I raced Cat 2 (25-29). Pretty happy with my finish time too. (finished in 1:35:02).

    Anybody else race in my age bracket? I found some photos on someone's flickr account. They got shots of pretty much everyone from our group. PM me and I'll shoot you the link.

    Next year I think I'll train and take it more seriously. It's addictive!

    I rode cat2 xc 40-44. Finished 10th out 101 riders and had a mechanical breakdown. Was also pretty happy with my race. 1:30.29

    I raced XC Cat 1 30-39-hot, but not as hot as the pros! No mechanicals, I kept the bike upright, and stayed on the whole time--a personal win for me. :)

    My time was 1:42, 20min faster than I've done it before (woohoo); 6:40 off of first.

    Sadly :lol:him and Jill are bunking at our casa for the next few days so where to take those 2 riding:-k...can't wait to see what he can do with the Skyline DH trails:bang:

    E 13 LG-1 chainguide, crank bros wheelset and a 150mm Rock Shox blackbox fork? with 20mm QR....pretty basic and as he called it a "all mountain ripper!"

    btw denmo, I remember you asking about sam hill's tires for the DS.

    check my pictures, and he has what looks like a minion DHF in front, and a specialized of some sort (red lettering) in back. no clue on sizes though :?:
