I'm a big reggae fan myself! I won tix for Toots at the HOB last weekend but gave them back to KUCI (UCI's radio station) b/c of the AZ trip.

Incidentely if you enjoy reggae music, KUCI on the web (or in Irvine) has the best shows on Wed and Fri 10 - 1!

    Good vibes!

EpicMTB'er - I saw the Crue at the Forum and Irvine Meadows last year. Judas Priest at Irvine Meadows.

I'd love to see Slayer. I about freaked out when I got the email saying they would be in Long Beach. A friend of mine, who I saw Crue & Priest with, is probably going to flake out on Slayer, so I'll probably miss out. They're one of my favorite bands, and one of the few speed metal bands I like. I don't have their new stuff, but I do have everything from Decade of Agression and back. Yes, even Haunting the Chapel. :) I wish Dave Lombardo was still playing with them.

I really blew it when I didn't see Anthrax. I'd love to see Billy Milano and Scott Ian settle their differences, because how cool would it be to see Stormtroopers of Death? Have you seen their Live at Budokan video? Totally rad!

    Ooh, DRI in July!

My first concert was when I was in 9th grade, it was 1989 and we drove down in the back of my friends Toyota pick-up to see Anthrax open up for Iron Maiden at Irvine Meadows, it was rad!

Whoa, that would be rad! It's kind of wierd seeing all your favorite bands in concert, when you're older. You realize that these guys are no longer young.

My first concert was backin 90 when Testament & Megadet opened up for Judas Preist on their Painkiller Tour!!

I've Seen Megadeth: 10 Times, Maiden: 7 times, Crue: 6 times, Ozzfest: 4 times, Queensryche: 5-6 times, Rush: 3 times, anthrax, ~4 times, STP 3 times, and so many more shows, it's not even funny, i spent my 20 gooing to concerts all the time, i easily averaged ~20 concerts a year. I've mellowed out a lot (concert-wise), but enjoy an occassion small venue show now. Godsmack , Mudvayne, Tool, & Slipknot are the ones that really got me going right now. I'm more into the percussion heavy music. If you want to see a great concert DVD check out Godsmack's Changes, it rocks!!

Alright, here is where I admit to being kicked out of a Quiet Riot concert in back in high school. #-o Give me a break as not many bands came to Laredo, Texas in the 90's...

And who's ever heard of being kicked out for going crowd-surfing at a concert like that, anyway?:?:

Quiet Riot in the 90's? Hmm, I wonder if they were still good then. I used to listen to them a little bit (Metal Health) in the 6th grade. That was 1984-85.

So do I. It wasn't one of my proudest moments, so let's just say that I don't really remember Quiet Riot even playing.:?:

What can I say, I was young and stupid. Live and learn, right? :bang:

Hmm, metal. Not really my cup of tea, but I was into Rush when they first came out. Saw them in the late 70's and they blew the roof off the Akron Civic Theater. They were opening for KISS. I stayed for a couple of songs of KISS, but I didn't get the act. My main musical interests are classic rock, jazz and bluegrass. By the way, I play guitar and bass.

Damn, this thread makes me feel less embarrassed when I crank up my collection of old '80s metal CDs in my car now!! :) I got everything from Iron Maiden, Winger (Yes she is only 17, well now she is about what 31? :) , Ozzy (Over the Mountain!!), Ratt, Poison, to some offbeat bands like XYZ (Produced by Don Dokken).... And just about everything else inbetween....

Hell, I loved ALL kinds of music and still do!!
