Ride Report South Dakota
So I was out in South Dakota last week for work (Sturgis MotorcycleRally) and had the opportunity to have two extra days in South Dakota after the rally to do some riding of my own. I rented a bike from Black Hills Bicycle. This is a great little shop in Rapped city about 20 miles from Mount Rushmore. BHCset me up with a Rocky Mountain Thunder bolt a 120mm 27.5 inch trail bike which is little shorter on travel then what I’m used to but a great climbing bike.
If you ever have been up to the Black Hills you know the beauty of these hills single track for days and rolling hills. I put in a 42 miles there and back with some rode riding on the way from Rapped city (started atHanson Memorial Park)following the lower rim trail fun single track trail that is flowy up to dark forest tail following this trail in to Keystone (MountRushmore) area. Weather this time of the year was great highs in the mid 80’sand the dirt nice and moist.
