I'm all for it, but only if we can get rid of the Roadie Hangout in the process.

Yea right, like the spandex industry would ever let that happen.

Should we have a DH thread.Yes! Do you like XC/AM/4X/BMX?
Who really cares. We All roll 2 wheels.I love BMX/DH/FR.I also like the challenge of a climb.Fact is,I like going down more than up.Two different aspects of the sport.Lets try this!!
Lets respect the talents we all have, and challenge our selfs to gain the skills we don't have.No I cant make up Blackstar under an Hour. But:I can beat you down Blackstar with out breaking a sweat.Get my point?Lets not challenge each other, but grow stronger together.

Early on there was much discussion about different forums and one of the things George wanted to avoid was forum overload. The idea is that too many forums would detract from the sense of community. I'm not sure he still feels the same way though given the growth of STR. George?

Personally, I want the fewest amount of forums possible but that's just me.

It's not a seperatist thing...it's an ease of use thing. If you want to log on and read about a certain topic...it's there in a forum. We're just a big site... so there is a lot of diversity within us.

I think some polling would be interesting....but not one vs. the other...just additional forums. :)

    I agree.

Not too long ago, I thought it would be cool to have a DH or even a BMX forum, but I now don't think it's needed.

    Simple questions:
Why do we need to segregate mtb niches here?

Why do we want to segregate mtb niches here?

A DH forum with a password. The password could be DUDE or maybe RAD or NARLY.
In the DH forum there will be no talk about baseball or tap dance shoes and lycra. :?::rolleyes:

Uh...Jason...that would be great; it would presume that DHers don't know how to spell gnarly. ;)

Sounds like a great opportunity for someone to create a new SoCAL DH Riders website.

Then there will be a 29er forum. A spandex forum, a BMX one and the list goes on and on and on... not to mention a "I hate DH" forum as well...

I say just leave it alone...this isn't empty beer.

SoCalGravity website, you have to be initiated to be allowed in. This involves a series of misdemeanors followed by felonies and of course hazing by the senior members of the group. After the initiation you will be reviewed in your riding ability this includes gnarly whips, trash talking and farting on command, the special recruits get to do a dunce drop of 20 ft to flat
