    I don't know that the B-bomb is either.... but would it offend anyone to post what the B-bomb is and why it is offensive? Would that person get banned for doing so or would it result in a post/thread "OMG someone used the B-bomb" its the end of STR!

    Next time someone posts a thread like this about offensive posts, it would be nice if they posted a link to the post(s). It would serve two purposes. First it would help others evaluate the context in which the offensive content was used. Second, if truly offensive, it would be nice to know who posted it as I might not want to associate with that person.

    Now in general, I think it is sad that we have devolved to a point where we have to control language to make sure no one's feelings get hurt. There is a very famous and funny saturday night live skit with Richard Prior and Chevy Chase that aired on live TV in the 70's that would probably X-rated today due to its use of racial epithets and I would probably get a temporary ban at the very least if I posted a link to it.

    I also wonder about the usefulness of a post like this whining about how this is the start of the end of STR. If the content is so offensive, why not pm links to the offensive content to the moderators and let them quitely take care of the problem/poster?

    Any mention of the "B' word can incite feelings of sadness, anger, confusion, et al and should be used only in the most delicate context.

    Actually, I sort of made up the "B" bomb. :?: It's a derogatory term for Hispanics and I recently heard someone use it along with the "W.B." bomb. He is Mexican and we talked about it for a bit. He feels it's okay, if you're Hispanic but to me, that's the same as when blacks refer to one another as "N's" and think it's okay but only if you're black. That's a very ignorant perspective. I think it's wrong to use such derogatory terms, regardless. Black, white, Hispanic, doesn't matter!
