I can't remember them all but started on a Bridgestone MB1.
And the one I really regret selling, a GT Team RTS with all kind of trick parts.

I remember that frame! I had a pair of CW handlebars back in the day. They were really too tall for me, but I didn't care.

I had a Graco suspension bike back in the mid 70's. It had a 20' rear and a 22" front wheel. No-one sold a 22" tube. Wish I didn't throw it away.

    Ya'll are going to laugh at me.... But this is the first bike I ever ridden on dirt;

Vertical XG9000!!!!!!! UnFFFF. 24" wheels. Single Pivot 1" rear travel. 3" front travel. Insanely heavy. Haters gunna hate... :)

I rode whiting ranch and peters canyon with this bike. I rode thise for around 3-4 months. Then I got this:

Got it stock but pretty much upgraded everything except for the fork. Great bike but the size was way too small for me. Cleared a lot of trails with this bike. This bike is what got me more serious with mountain biking. I miss it way more than the XG9000. I sold it complete for 140 (or was it 160?).

I can't say I miss any of my old bikes... I'm happy with what I have now.

Aside from the bmx and T-bar three speed cruiser I had growing up, my first mountain bike was a GT Avalanche in '87. Seen here on the Gabrielino trail (ignore the fact that I'm not wearing a helmet!):

My first mountain bike race in 1988:

The GT is the only bike I ever sold. Took it to Costa Rica in 1994 where it lived as my ride to the beach for about 5 years, then I sold it to somebody from Cuba, where I'm pretty confident it still lives.

Next mountain bike was a custom-built Curtlo with an Action-Tec fork. I still have it at my parents' place and ride it when I visit them:

    Norba Series, Big Bear 1990:

After that, in 2000 I had a Gary Fisher Sugar 1, which I keep down in Costa Rica and it's still my regular transport and ride when I'm there:

Now I have the Bionicon Edison which I rode today to the Mayor's PSA announcement and filming. It's still going strong with 11,900 miles on it. And a Supershuttle, which goes with me to Mammoth tonight!

Though I don't miss it much, here's my very first mountain bike, circa 1987:

    db1.jpg

This thing had some choice goodies - Deore XT brakes, Deore XT/Araya RM20 wheels, Suntour deraileurs, Answer TaperLite bar, Specialized Hardpack II 2.2" front tire, and the legendary Tioga Farmer John 1.95" rear tire.

    bikes

    1) Trek 6500 Hardtail- the bike that started it all....
    2) SC Heckler- still miss the heck out of this thing.
    3) Intense 6.6- Worst bike EVER! Like an XC bike with nearly seven inches of travel. I kept it for 1 month. My Heckler put this bike to shame.
    4) Turner RFX- My pride and joy. Was about to sell this thing but then came to my senses#-o Decided to try and "freshen" it up a lil instead. PUSH treatment coming soon...
