    What the heck... I'll play.

I got inspired by Rodger's Nimble 9 and I told him that mine is missing just a few parts to be finished. Well, I got the missing parts today and I was able to finish the build this afternoon. It looks like purple is the theme for these Nimble 9s on here.

I'm dying to test it at the Weedpatch, but it will be awhile until my leg recovers from surgery.

Well I finally finished my budget SS project, using an old 2000 Gt Avalanche as the basis for the project I ended up with this.

Stripped the frame with Jasco then enamel clear coated it.

I bought bars, stem, a SS kit, and a rigid fork. I got a set of hardly used brakes and new/old shimano bash guard from a buddy to finish it off. I ended up going with 32-15 gearing to start and I will make changes as I see fit. I am pretty pleased with the way is rides around on the street, and the real test comes Wednesday when I hit the trails.

Since she got a bath after the ride at SART, i figured i should snap a few pics. Here's my Pearl. 29er front and 650b rear. Responsive (at least for me) big wheeled ride. I love this ride.

Looks like you should be able to get another link out of that chain. Or at least run a 30 or 32 ring in front.
