sorry guys, quick question for all you kona owners...saw a kona dawg deluxe with a dent on the side of the top tube. size of the dent was 1/2 to 3/4", found it be safe to ride this frame? no pictures...but just wondering about it since its the light weight aluminum tube instead of the scandium tube.

Bought a NOS 2003 Nunu frame back in November and built this up:

    Frame: 23" Kona Nunu
Fork: Rock Shox Tora 318 Solo Air
Crankset: Race Face Evolve XC (x-type)
Wheelset: XT hubs w/ Mavic 223 rims and DT Comp spokes
    Brakes: Avid BB7 185mm
    Seatpost: Thomson
    Saddle: Brooks B-17
    Bars: 31.8 Specialized Enduro (riser)
    Stem: no-name
    Headset: FSA The Pig

I love riding this bike. Something about the geometry and build that just fits and suits me well.

Looks cool with the raw finish.

I really like the Kona brand. To me they are like the anti Turners. And I'm considering switching my heckler frame for a Dawg.

Here is my son's Kikapu. We bought the frame from Maxwell and transferred his parts + a fork upgrade. Cool bike :bang: Here's a pic from his first ride on it at SRP.

Added RockShox Reba, SRAM X9 RD, Ergon grips, and Hadley/Mavic 819 wheels. Otherwise stock. I think.

Sorry for the camera phone picture. Here's my Kona 16" singlespeed (32:16) resting in the shade. I've upgraded the brakes to Avid BB7s since this picture was taken. Everything else is still stock spec.
